PPL Semi-Auto Belt Conveyor System

Key Benefits

Operator Loading & Manual Sorting

Faster induction, fewer jams: Clear label-up placement and PLC-paced gaps reduce double-feeds.
High sorting accuracy: Hub codes/signage + optional scanners/HMI prompts drive ≥99.5% correct placement.
Ergonomic & safe: Waist-height loading, guarded edges, e-stops/pull-cords, and jam-clear SOPs cut strain and risk.
Smooth workflow: Steady belt speed gives operators consistent handling time—less rush, fewer errors.
Exception control: Defined lanes/bins for damage, oversize, or unreadable labels prevent downstream blockers.
Training-friendly: Simple visual cues and one-touch HMI recipes shorten operator onboarding.
Scalable staffing: Add/remove manual sort stations to match peak vs. off-peak without retooling.
Traceable by shift: Per-bay counts and exception logs tied to time/operator enable targeted coaching.
System Benefits

Belt Conveyor + Mitsubishi PLC

Precise pacing: PLC+VFD/encoder indexing maintains spacing for accurate manual picks and scanner reads.
Real-time visibility: GOT HMI shows counts, faults, and bay status; alarms speed up recovery.
Smart interlocks: Start/stop logic, anti-jam timers, and bin-full sensors prevent pile-ups and rework.
Low operating cost: IE3 motor with speed matching saves energy; modular rollers simplify upkeep.
Easy add-ons: Plug-and-play to scanners, printers, weigh/check modules, or future automated diverters.

Project Information

Parcels arriving from the inbound area are received, verified, and introduced onto the conveyor by trained operators. Each parcel undergoes a brief pre-check to confirm labeling, packaging integrity, and destination information before being conveyed to the manual sorting zone. At the sorting zone, operators direct parcels into designated chutes or roll-cages corresponding to their assigned hubs.
